Automatic Tube Brushing System
The ATB System four-way valve back-flushes the condenser water for 30 seconds every six hours, propelling nylon brushes through the tubes. The cleaning brushes are suspended in plastic catch baskets in the water boxes, the catch baskets are epoxied in at each tube end.
Automatic Back-Flush System
The Automatic Back-flush System will clean a plate and frame heat exchanger while the unit remains on-line. Daily back-flushing in the heat exchanger virtually eliminates plate fouling and the need to open the heat exchanger for periodic manual cleaning.
How Does It Work?
On-Line condenser tube cleaning with the Automatic Tube Brushing (ATB) System is a permanent solution for fouling in chiller condensers and other straight tube and shell heat exchangers. The ATB System four-way valve back-flushes the condenser water for 30 seconds every six hours, propelling nylon brushes through the tubes. The cleaning brushes are suspended in plastic catch baskets in the water boxes, the catch baskets are epoxied in at each tube end. The Brushes, working with normal chemical treatment, clean foulants from the tubes before they ever have a chance to harden on the heat transfer surface.

How Does It Work?
The Automatic Back-flush System by Water Technology will clean a plate and frame heat exchanger while the unit remains on-line.Daily back-flushing in the heat exchanger virtually eliminates plate fouling and the need to open the heat exchanger for periodic manual cleaning. The four-way valve automatically reverses water flow in the heat exchanger for about 30 seconds, once every 6 hours. The valve fits into the supply and return piping and is custom manufactured to suit any piping configuration. The Automatic Back-flushing System Control panel consists of a 24-hour timer, a back-flush relay to control how long the valve remains in reverse flow, a cycle counter and a malfunction indicator.
